Sterling L. Carter, PT, MS, CSCS
President & CEO
Sterling graduated from the prestigious Langston University with a Bachelors degree in Biology in 1993 and then returned for an additional Bachelors degree at Langston University in Physical Therapy in 1997. Sterling has practiced as a professional physical therapist for over 14 years. Further enhancing his education with a post-professional Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman's University with a focus in Orthopedics. Sterling is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a certification common with all professional sports level therapists, athletic trainers and coaches. A proud protector of his country, Sterling has served over 19 years in the United States Army, primarily working as a physical therapist (both active and reserve status). Sterling's past military and life experiences have afforded him the skills and compassion needed in the healthcare environment. His care and concern for the well-being of people and dedication to excellence, quality, and results are apparent in his vision for this clinic.
Kimberly Johnson, MPT. Physical Therapist.
Our newest addition to the family. Kimberly is originally from Lafayette, LA. However she has practiced in Maryland over the last three years and her Masters in Physical Therapy from the prestigious Howard University in Washington, DC. Kimberly has extensive experience in Aquatics and Orthopedics.
Bhavisha Patel, PTA
Bhavisha is a proud graduate of the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Central Penn College. Bhavisha's passion is patient care and helping others. Bhavisha is a truly personifies the Sterling Physical Therapy mission; "excellent customer service and quality care, every time".
Corine Urps, Admin Assist, Billing Specialist
Corine is usually the first person you seen when entering Sterling Physical Therapy. She enjoys working with her fellow employees and strives to do her best to provide you, the client, with excellent customer service and respect.
Julianna Dent, PT Tech/Student Volunteer Coordinator
With many years as a physical therapy technician and licensed massage therapist, Julianna has developed a unique understanding and treatment of patients' needs. She motivates patients to attain a healthy spirit, mind and body. Personally, Julianna cares deeply about nature and enjoys spending time in the mountains.
Lena Dathorne, PT Tech/ Marketing Specialist
Lena graduated from HCC health careers with an AAS in the physical therapy assistant program. She has worked in physical therapy for the past 20 years, and is a licensed massage therapist. Lena enjoys working with patients, and helping them recover to the fullest. When she is not working, Lena enjoys spending quality time with her family, going to church, and especially loves to travel to other parts of the world. Lena’s greatest experience was horseback riding in the Caribbean. Some of her hobbies include decorating and traveling.
Nichole Samms, PT Tech/Staffing Coordinator
Nichole graduated from Friends University with a pre-medical biology degree in 2005. She and her husband moved from Wichita, KS to the Houston area in 2008. Nichole is a physical therapy technician who is currently completing the steps necessary to apply to physical therapy school. Physical therapy is her passion, and to her, the patient always comes first. Nichole is an avid amateur photographer, and enjoys spending time with her husband and pets.
Lou Vargas, Admin Assistant
Lou has over 20 years of secretarial and administrative experience in the industry and brings a wide wealth of knowledge and a genuine caring personality for everyone.
